How You Can Help: Donate
The Foundation is successful because many people of vision and generosity give of their time, talent and treasure. To support the work of making a Catholic school education in the Archdiocese of Hartford accessible through scholarships there are many ways to give to FACS. An immediate gift helps us meet current and urgent needs (cash, appreciated stock, etc.).
Planned gifts
Help us build a strong foundation for the future of Catholic schools. Planned gifts are an opportunity for you to guarantee that the type of education and the schools important to you will flourish. It may also offer an opportunity to reduce the tax burden on your heirs. The simplest type of planned gift is a bequest, a gift to The Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools in ones will. Other examples of planned gifts include: trusts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance, IRAs, and gifts of real estate. These gifts are best arranged with the help of your attorney, estate planner or financial advisor.
FACS offers the opportunity to create Charitable Gift Annuities an ideal way to make a gift to a charity that keeps on giving. These gifts offer an income stream to the donor, along with current tax savings. FACS may be named as the beneficiary of these gifts. For a period of years, the donor receives a portion of each payment tax-free. This increases after-tax dollars available for spending or investing. It is an excellent way to gain substantial tax benefits while supporting FACS or the school of your choice. Endowment
FACS heartily welcomes gifts of all amounts, however, to establish a named endowed scholarship fund the minimum contribution is $50,000.
Sponsorship/Partnership
The Foundation presents special events with opportunities for personal and corporate sponsorships. In addition we offer sponsorships in the FACS Partnership Program, introduced in 2016 and designed to offer our corporate sponsors the opportunity to join FACS as Partners more comprehensively. FACS Partners receive a variety of benefits including but not limited to event tickets and advertising. In 2017, we have enhanced the Partnership Program by adding another level of participation, membership in the FACS Leadership Council, offered for those who would like to partner with FACS as individuals.
Gifts of Stock
FACS appreciates your consideration of gifts of stock. We will help to make this transition as simple as possible for our donors.

Volunteers who donate professional services to FACS also allow us to dedicate more dollars to scholarships and other aid to our students and schools. Call and ask Marie Dussault how your professional skills could benefit FACS.
